Weekend Update

So let's see, we had a weekend.

Friday I spent really out of it. Sitting here at work and trying to remember what bits of work I took care of remotely, I can't. Yes, the fever was that high. I had electro in the afternoon. This was my first time, so it was only a half hour. But we cleared a significant amount. I found it almost painless compared to laser. Unfortunately, she suggested that another laser treatment would be a good idea. So I'm doing an afternoon of electro this Wednesday to clear all the clear hairs and then next thursday, I'll be getting fried.

Saturday we had Janna's parents over. I made a lot of BBQ, both chicken and ribs. It came out really quite well. I was sort of shocked. Our grill is dead and I did it in the oven and I was very pleased. We need a new grill though and I'm searching for one. Probably going to blow the bank and get a Weber that will last. (Ok, people get weird about women cooking on a grill. It's cause I cook, not cause of gender. k? I pick out the fridge and range too!)

This morning in my grill-spurred sudden desire to take care of kitchen stuff I've ignored, I decided to bonk on the dishwasher which has been dead for about a month. Well, it was just the float for the water thing being stuck, I bonked it, and it works fine again. Hopefully that'll continue.

Actually I've done a lot of tying up loose ends. I've cancelled a bunch of game accounts. So I'm now officially out of UO, SWG, and EQ2 again. Well WOW for that matter is now cancelled.

Let's see what else. Saturday I watched DC. That was. Well let's not go into it. We watched a lot of anime this weekend as well. Finished up Ai Yori Aoshi's second disk and started in on Twelve Kingdoms, which is sort of odd because we have it on DVD rental, but we first saw episodes of it while I was in SF recovering from facial surgery, where it was on the local Asian channel.

And the rest of the weekend I drank glass after glass of water and figured out whether the sky was up or down in Anarchy Online. I'd been removed from the org for my absence, but Vix was good about letting me back in. I managed to get into my first alien raid, tho it was just the ground battle. It was a lot of fun though. Pure chaos. And I made it out to our city, which is gorgeous. I really like having direct transport to all the clubs. I'm highly amused by that. I'm hopelessly lost though and switched to playing a lower level alt until I get my bearings.

Other than that I guess just counting down. 24 days left. Less than that until we leave. Scary stuff! I get faint when I walk past a calendar.

A friend Makenna had her surgery today in Montreal. Everyone send good vibes please.

God luck to your friend that her surgery went perfectly and that her recovery be swift!

So Vix is back? Last I heard, she was on a break and Aerie (did I spell that right?) wound up running things. He's in CoH now and having a blast; once my computer stops being a piece of utter crap, hopefully I'll be able to join him and our other friends there.

Did you try electro befoer you got lasered?
trust me laser is way way nicer (and way, way less painful) than electolysis to remove strong dark black hairs.
I have had hundreds of hours of diathermy and blend and trust me laser was a breeze in comparison!
So I'm pleased its worked out for you, cause its so much easier now.

oh grief i didnt realise it was today, I saw something on GP but I didnt relise. Oops - sorry!
Please pass on my best wishes to her if you speak to her.

Just think in a month and half time (or there abouts) you be trying to remember what it was like to be male and failing totally!!!

I already can't remember. It's really weird. Of the last two years, pretty much all my memories are of the girl parts. The rest, work, I can barely remember.

I did laser extensively. I love it. And it's fast. But in comparison, electro is much easier on the pain. Damages the skin more tho. I'm down to straggling white hairs now for the most part.

one question did you try electrolysis on your face before having laser?? or did you just goto laser and then have electrolysis?
put it this way I used to have 3/4 of an hour of diathermy before I coudl take teh pain no longer and we would clear a patch maybe a inch square, after hundreds of sessions, they could clear my face in a hour with blend. After one session of laser it didnt hurt a bit and lots of hair has never grown back.
I'm not denying your experiance it just doesnt gell with my experiance and a lot of other women I know who had electrolysis before laser was introduced (and switched to laser asap)

on being male, I meant physically! not living as a man In 2 months time you wont remember what it was like to have it on your body

I did laser first.

Laser is better, no doubt. I've had 6 laser treatments so far? Half with a Gentlelase and half with a Lightsheer. It works great.

But I'm finding electro far far less painful.
