OMG I am such a loser. In a hormone deprived and pain induced moment of idiocy I left my keys in the car last night and apparently left the ignition set to accessory. My battery is now almost dead. It turns over, but won't quite catch.

I am so angry now that I want to just scream.

There's a message from this guy on my Thai surgery group who wants to sneak off to Thailand for a quickie sex change. His wife is against it. And he's a conservative Christian and doesn't want to transition in public because it would upset his friends and hurt his lucrative career. The whole message just screams guy. He refers to his female name in the third person. He only dresses occasionally at home.

How could ANYONE who was a woman plan to live as a guy to keep a job and fit in with religious bigots.

But then we got to the best. He doesn't care about depth because he only likes girls. "That makes me a transdyke right" That pushed me over the edge. NO it makes you a fucking straight guy with a vagina. A real dyke would eat you for lunch. Or more to the point, she wouldn't. Ever.

YOU are the reason I can't go to Mich. YOU are the reason that people are sent out of homeless shelters for battered women and shoved into men's shelters where they're raped. YOU are the kind of idiot that made me so dubious about transition that I wasted a dozen years of my life. YOU are the type of idiot who ends up on Christian TV shows bashing us. YOU are the kind of moron who's actions means the rest of us have to jump through a million hoops or take our lives in our hands by self treating on hormones.

13 Days...

Ok, a bit of an update. Since two poeple have asked, I must not have put it on my LJ! LOL

Anyway, I'm having SRS and a breast augmentation on the 19th of May with Dr. Chettawut (not worksafe due to pictures of his work). I take ludicrous amounts of hormones right now. 300mg of spironolactone which is high blood pressure medicine that also suppresses testosterone production and the ability to absorb testosterone. And 6.25mg of premarin. That's an ungodly amount, I take 5 1.25mg tabs a day. The usual dosage for post-menopausal HRT is a single 1.25 or .625 tab a day. (Don't complain to me about the premarin, I don't want to be taking it, but it's the only option I can get covered by insurance.) Normal post-menopausal HRT is known to cause Deep Vein Thrombosis, nevermind the amounts we're taking. Oh, and DVT generally happens as a result of spending a lot of time immobile lying in bed or sitting. You know, like lying in a bed for 5 days for surgery and recovery. Or sitting down for 18 hours on an airplane to Thailand :) I didn't go through this with Dr. O because he doesn't require it. I am not sure if that's just an opinion or the little thingies on my legs deflating and inflating. Or if it's just that other than the surgery, I was up and about fairly quickly.

As a result, I have to stop taking my pills 2 weeks prior to surgery. That was yesterday. And oh boy isn't this fun. For those who aren't trans, its basically the same set of symptoms as PMS, except more pronounced since the drop in estro is more extreme and with T instead of Progesterone. (Not that in my experience the effects of the two are all that different, when you hear jokes that men are PMS'y all that time, it's not far from the truth.) And more particulary pronounced since it happens at a time of emotional stress pre-surgery and because we have no experience dealing with the symptoms. You also can't take any ibuprophin or aspirin as they are blood thinners and might cause too much bleeding. Only tylenol, which is great cause i get stressy headaches and tylenol really doesn't do much for me. (whine whine lol)
