May. 10th, 2006 09:05 amI awoke this morning at... I don't know... Let's just call it The Hour of the Cat. Horrible snarling. I honestly thought Carmen was dying the snarls and screaches and mews were so loud. I couldn't even imagine what could have happened. I've stepped on cats. Seen them fight. Seen terrified cats freak out. But I've never heard an animal sound so wounded.
We were sound dead asleep and leapt out of bed. It turned out that the Karma Cat had seen the neigbor kitty through the sliding glass door to the deck and was having a full furry freakout. The cat scampered away. We fussed over her and then sank back into bed.
But wow am I not awake.
