We saw the sun!

It was a way too short weekend. The weather was so pleasant with the snow melting and blue skies. The only bad aspect is there was so much snow that most everything has turned to mud. We took a nice walk around the neighborhood with Nora though, which was the first time we've been able to do that in quite a few weeks. We also did some shopping and got some time in at the library.

Sunday Janna went crazy and made Chinese food. Wonderful fresh scallion pancakes. These are so good, but you need to eat them right away and the only time I've seen them other than out of Janna's hands has been buffets, which is the exact worst thing to do to one. She also made this Japanese spicy carrot pickle salad and this great glass noodle salad with snow peas and peppers. My contribution was the protein, which was yakatori skewers done on the grill, which has blessedly been freed from its icy prison.

"The lads" as we have come to call Dandy and Jumper have settled in. Perhaps too much. It's nice to have kittenish cats again, even if we spend an awful lot of time shooing them off of things and they get into more drawers of stuff than Nora did at her worst toddling.
