O M F G it was hot this weekend. Was it thursday morning that we finally put the air conditioner in the office window? Well thank goodness. We spent almost the entire weekend hiding in the office.
That meant an absolutely ludicrous amount of EQ2. Kathy my mystic is up to 26, Kathliene my conjuror went to 22, and Numtini my paladin is up to 20. Pett and Lolly mentored me through the Stormhold AQ, which is great because the place has horrible pathing and all that. And I have the solo stuff in the crypt done for AQ3. I'm also rich from selling bones and tier 1 App IVs. I topped 2plat, which is pretty good for a bunch of 20s. And enough to make sure that I get at least the Adept 3 earth pet for Kathliene. And by the time I need the expansion is out and I need the other pets, I should have the money for those as well. I just hate making all the inks and such for the tier 1s. I'd rather make 50s and buy the stuff than spend all that time. I also got a chance to help all sorts of people this weekend with things. A couple of people betraying and someone who was talking about how expensive the app IVs were and I could gift her with free ones. (I charge the market, which is ludicrously high, because if I don't, they'll just get bought and relisted. But if I can find someone that actually needs them I'm glad to give them away.)
Saturday night we got out to Ying's, which is an Asian-Fusion restaurant in Hyannis. (Yes, on cape. Really.) It was good. I had tom yum and some Japanese noodles, simple, like you'd get as fast food at a Yakatori stand there. Of course here it was pricey and expensive. Janna got a green curry. And I had a Singha beer, which made me giggle, since I'd had it in Bangkok. We ended up leaving early as the coconut milk was a bit rich and she figured out she was dehydrated and overheated from doing some things outside of the office in the afternoon and it made her a bit queasy. But she perked up later. We watched BSG (and were in awe as usual) once it was dark out and cool enough in the house.
Sunday we hid again. Though we managed to make a run to the dump and get our grocery shopping out of the way. And caught the first third of Tipping the Velvet. As well as the interview with the author, which was very interesting to see. It looks like BBC America cut more than just the sex parts from the miniseries. It just seemed like a lot of little moments were there that we didn't remember.
I have to say, I'm getting tired of "don't heat up the house" food. We didn't even want to cook anything on top of the stove over the past few days.
Oh, btw, we're talking upper 80s. Yeah, I know. I used to live near DC and we'd be turning off the AC and opening the windows if it was that cool there, but we're just not used to it here and it's overall been a cool summer, mostly mid-70s. Which thank goodness, is what it's supposed to be for the rest of this week.
