Nice Things

kathygnomeSo life is overall pretty good. I am taking friday off, on my endless quest to burn vacation before the end of the fiscal year. That really makes things wonderful. Two days and I'm kind of just not getting any real break. I get my tiny bit of rest and then I need to give Janna some break on Tiny Nora. Three days, we can each have a "day off" and have a day together with the three of us.
Last night I made a dismal dinner. Yeah, don't here that much from me. A recipe for asparagras and pasta. It was horrid. At first, the asparagras wasn't cooked through and then it just came across as bland steamed asparagras on top of cheesy pasta. I think if I got the recipe "correct" it would be overcooked asparagras with pasta that tastes like overcooked asparagras. No thanks.
We watched another episode of Prime Suspect and this has become a standard routine that's absolutely infuriating. We watch Prime Suspect. We have skips and a botched disk. Someone who is getting the series from the local distribution center is very obviously also going through the series, but they're trashing the disks. We've gone through 7 disks and 3 have had problems, one of which had to be replaced because it wasn't watchable at all. I love the series, but this is just getting so frustrating.
