Wonderful Weekend -- The Six Day Edition

kathygnome Last week I took Wednesday through Friday off, plus the long weekend. Six wonderful days. It was wonderful. With the election and town meeting behind us, I didn't take home much stress from work. And it was long enough that I could develop a real feeling of being free of work rather than just taking two days to desperately store up enough energy to survive.
Our friend Gauge was visiting New England, out from the west coast. On friday we got together and went to Provincetown. It was nice. Beautiful day. We got some deep fried treats from the briny deep and ate them on the benches by the town hall. It was really nice. Unfortunately, with the Tiny One, we are always a little nervous about how long her little patience will last. She did great, but we left before I think most of us would like to have and even then, she was a little melty on the way home.
The rest of the weekend we mostly stayed home and just relaxed. We watched a lot of TV. We ate some tasty things. Nora was up and down. She had a very un-cute day for most of Sunday, but mostly she was really nice. She is, however, crawling like a mad thing. And, of course, she makes a beeline for either a cabinet with crap in it or the cat food bowls or our dirty shoes, which she deeply wishes to nom.
I stayed up late and gamed a few nights, something I don't generally do. Even on weekends, I'm usually too tired. Speaking of which, my warrior is no 75% into level 49, so max level should happen this evening if I get a chance to play. I'm still having a blast. And I just keep meeting nice people.
Summer has also arrived on Cape. Not just officially as in the beginning of the tourist season, but even more unofficially as in 80 degree weather. I absolutely wilted yesterday. Yes, I know that 80 is not that high. But before the last week, we had not seen a day over 65 degrees since October.
