Insomnia

Woke up at 3:30 this morning, at 4:30 I was still full awake and threw in the towel. I now have a nice backup of things I need to do and I'm nervous about and wake up fretting over. Talked to Kareth this morning and vented a little to her and she gave me some suggestions for getting things emotionally under control.

God I wish I wasn't so shy. That's where all of this stems from. I'll avoid almost everything just because I get nervous about calling someone on the phone or going somewhere new.

So far today I've gotten a few credit card changes underway. That's a plus. One even was willing to complete it on the phone, which was nice.

Shyness sucks

Hi: OK, I understand that shyness is painfull and can really get in the way. So, I have a suggestion. This maybe AWFUL advice, but it's something that popped into my head and I though I'd share. As an experiment and experience, why don't you plan an evening of being extroverted. Plan ahead, drink a few cocktails, go out with a friend and practice talking to strangers, practice making new friends. A little alcohol should loosen you up a bit. Then once you have that experience under your belt you can try it again sans alcool. Crazy but maybe worth it.
