kathygnome1. You have the summer and plenty of money to travel abroad. Where all would you go?
Do I only get one place? Since I'm going to Thailand, I guess Europe. Probably Italy. Rent a car and drive all around the country. There's so much beautiful countryside and the cultures between the different regions are so different. It's one of the few places I think a car would be a good idea.
2. What foods would you be sure you got to eat?
Everything! Love to just sample things. No special ideas though.
3. What landmarks would you be sure you got to see?
If I had the summer and plenty of money, I'd just go where I wanted. I like to just view the culture. I did the monuments and museums thing in high school. I'd rather hang around in a town square sipping wine. I would like to attend something at the Verona Opera Festival. They hold operas in a Roman Amphitheater and apparently the atmosphere is very lighthearted. I've heard it described as more like a sporting event than an opera.
4. What airline would you use?
Anything foreign. If it's more than one flight, more than one airline. I'm a plane nut and tend to choose flights that will let me fly on a plane I've never been on before.
5. Would your knowledge of other languages influence where you went? (i.e. would you be more likely to go to France if you spoke French?)
Not at all.
