Well last night was nice. I made a nice dinner of spicy breaded chicken. Both of us were very tired and ended up propped up against each other napping.

Eventually we woke up and I got to play some WOW and talked with a friend for a while online.

I'm still waiting on my new credit cards which are definitely annoying me. Citi and mbna should have the documents they need to change things, but checking their web sites they still aren't changed. Amex and Discover were very very prompt and the web sites have my name correct, but I sitll don't have the cards in hand. And I'm waiting for the new cards in order to order my ticket for Bangkok. On that side, it looks like i'm going british air, the thinking being that one shorter layover and several hours shorter flight time is worth an ecnomy rather than business sized seat.

I engaged in a bit of retail therapy as well. I am definitely going to need a bag bigger than my 22 inch/stewardess bag if i'm spending 3 weeks in Thailand. So I ordered a set of larger luggage. It was cheap enough, but I resent it a bit because I will probably never need anything bigger than my 22 again. While I was at ebags, I bought a new Sak. I have a very plain base model in black, but I want something lighter in color for the summer. So I picked out this in brown (taupe), which has the lighter color I want and also has a cell phone pocket, which I've craved for a while. While I was there I ended up looking at wallets and ordering this one in the black with stripes. I like the look of what I have now, but it's trifold and I keep opening it upside down and having cards fall out. The Sak one is actually bifold even tho it says tri and has the card slots in the direction I want. It's a total waste of money, but that's what retail therapy is about. Some people do shoes, but with my 10W/11W feet, I do bags...

Ok, everything's healed basically. My in the mouth sutures are a bit stiff, but not a problem. My nose still runs.

Laser at three months was a living hell of pain. Far worse than before.

Now for the weird. I have little or no feeling in the top of my head. Big surprise. But if I get startled and I get that adrenaline flush? I feel a pinprick on every hair of my head or that's what it feels like.

1 thing that's on your mind right now
Like this moment? If Collette is going to come back in and tell me I need yet another little thing for my passport. Thinking about booking my flight to Thailand. In the big issues that are on my mind, not really much. Regretting not applying for the MSW program this year since with my earlier surgery I could have started this fall. Thinking about my nose running and wondering if it will ever stop.

2 songs you like
Right now? Last Night of the World by Bruce Cockburn.

3 things that make you angry
Not much really. Bigotry I guess is about it. Everything stems from that. My dislike of the current GOP. The issues that drove me out of Asatru. The only other thing that can really get to me and get me angry is gatekeeper therapists. I'm just out of control angry about what they do to people.

4 things that make you happy
Pizza. My partner. Friends. Watching the US or DC score. That wondeful feeling when I'm out doing something and notice that my life is normal.

5 people who have made a big impact on your life
Wow. Thats a big one. Johnny Carson and Linda Ellerbee for late nights that got me interested in world events. Nancy Hunt, the first transwoman I saw many many years ago. Kate and Emily who's pictures changed my life. Janet Rosado who introduced me to Paganism. Prof. Ernie Gallo who introduced me to what literature was really about. So many people have shaped me, its so hard to list them all.

Passport application is done and in! The to-do list is getting shorter and shorter and my mental state getting better and better.

Could summer please get here? I'm tired of the snow, but you've all heard that. But now I am starting to want things, not just wanting the snow gone.

I want a nice clambake at The Lobster Pot, lobster with drawn butter, those delicious mussels with the hint of spices and tomato. I want Captain Frosty's thin battered onion rings and the squish of a full belly fried clam. I want to swim. OMG I'll be terrified to be out in a suit, but I can go swimming! I want to sit in Ptown and watch the guys going back and forth cruising each other. I want to bake walking on the beach on wing island.

I just heard back from Dr. Chettawut. He has nothing better to do on the 19th, so K will have her surgery the 18th and I'll go the 19th and we'll travel together.

One week less and a friend. I'm happy.
