I slept well last night. All this tension is draining out of me. I feel better than I have in a month.

We are still having our bathroom painted though, so it's day 2 of hair washing in the kitchen sink and sponge baths.

Oysters

Oysters make everything better. Well oysters and vodka martinis.

More seriously, our shellfish department has apparently had a hugely succesfull year of cultivating oysters and brought over a hundred or so fresh from the water. They were seconds that were imperfectly shaped, but geezus were they perfectly wonderful. Made a nice sauce with shallots and vinegar and we scoffed them!
