We didn't get up to much this weekend. Ok, we got up to nothing. Janna made us Kale soup on friday. This is a big thing for us. We're lazy and we tend to use frozen kale. It changes Kale soup from a really irritating pain, breaking down the kale--the stuff gets everywhere, into dumping a few things into a pot and letting it sit. But S&S has not had frozen kale in stock all summer. I suspect that every once in a while they get some new regional manager in who looks at the order and says "that can't be right, all these shops on Cape and the SE coast ordering all this kale--my old region only sold one bag a month!" Then their reduced order sells out in a day.

Saturday, I did a beef roast with yorkshire pudding and mashed potato. And it was good. The end. Saturday felt like kind of a lost day. It just looked so miserable outside. Saturday night was actually quite scary. The wind was howling so strongly that I had trouble sleeping in the early AM and was more or less awake 2-4am. We didn't get any snow, just howling wind and rain. No damage and we kept our power.

I also did a bit of WOWing. I got into a couple of decent groups and got another piece of badge gear for my shaman. And I gave in to temptation and moved my priest over and now she's a gnome, which presents the conundrum I have of sunk cost with the shaman, but prefering anything that's a gnome. I did a couple of Wrath heroics and, well, I like the priest. It's a hard one to decide on.

Sunday, Janna wanted to do some shopping and I stayed at home with Nora. She's reached a new milestone and yesterday evening when she wanted to get up on the couch with us, instead of waving her hands or just looking piteous, she pulled a leg over and just climbed up. We were stunned. We'd only seen her even try that once before. Now she's just all over the place.

We watched Captain America on blu ray. I really enjoyed the movie. Looking forward to seeing what Joss does with The Avengers.
