Ford have a very simple solution to the problem - they take out big adds in ALL the magazines - and then they can't be accused of taking sides! That's the simple solution - and if they can't see that one, then they deserve everything that they get! But... they have to advertise the fact and why they're doing it... which will spike those conservative freakies rather nicely! Nobody likes to see national adverts pointing out their failings!
As with the much-publicized fundie boycott of Disney, I hope Ford realizes that even if every True Believer Crazy actually follows the AFA (actual paid membersip - less than 10,000), it will hurt Ford's bottom line about as much as a small mosquito bite.

Oh good grief. It's not a moral decision to advertise in certain publications, it's a business decision. Ford advertises in those publications because people who read those publications might be likely to buy a Ford product. It's not like Ford is donating money to the MBLA.
This is the same group that is trying to block the HPV vaccine, on the grounds that it will increase promiscuity.
Because a lot of women dying from cervical cancer is definitely better than the possibility that they might have sex. Plus if we had sex, we'd deserve to die anyway.
And the Bush administrtion gives them a seat at the table for policy!
Well, they're certainly onto something there. I think I can safely say that having sex does indeed eventually lead to death, at least if offspring are born from the encounter. Certainly, if my parents had never had sex, I would not die.
And it would have the added benefit of getting that global population problem under control as well.
