BRRRRRR!!!

kathygnomeIt is cold. Yes, I know it's winter, but I mean it's really cold. It is 7' out there. It hit a high of 10' earlier today. Rah. And we have that nice ocean breeze too! Wheeee!
Seriously, it is cold frigid cold beyond belief. Dry as a bone. Ick Ick.
What has been going on in my life. When did I last check in with everyone? I don't remember, but I'm sure nothing has changed. I've been very lazy about my exercise, so my diet has rather stalled. Still, I'm continuing to lose weight, just a few pounds a week instead of 5. I found a wonderful site who's url I don't have on this PC that calculates the amount of calories you've consumed. Very handy! I've discovered based on this and some work with measuring cups that I can eat a lot more soup or ratatouie than I thought I could. But I need to be more cautious about the alcohol. The night we had rat, the manhatten I tossed down had more calories than dinner! Eeep! (And it is soooo cold we are resorting to alcohol to return warmth to our frigid extremities. Sake is wonderous for this.)
Other than that, not much is going on. Transing is sort of at a dead stop. Not out of any particular desire for it to be, but right now I'm just waiting. Waiting for HRT? Waiting for Godot? You decide!
In the meanwhile I am There. There's yet another online game, this one is basically a graphic world in which to chat and hang out. I don't know what makes it quite so compelling, but it is. You might want to check out the test, it's free (well unless you want more money in the game--you get so much a month and if you want more, you pay with your credit card). www.there.com please put in that "Karey" referred you. It has a lot of the social features of the Sims, only without the "game" part, which I thought was kind of boring anyway. And you can add your own clothes to the game. Design them, sell them, wear them! I bought a gay pride tee shirt for my avatar! And I'm working on a couple of shirts of my own.
I'm in a couple of other beta games as well, including Second Life www.secondlife.com and two others that are closed and I can't tell you the names of or I'd violate the non-disclosure agreement. Funny, I never got into any of those betas when I was a boy. Signing up under my new information and I'm gold! A female
And yes, it is STILL COLD :-) And it is now snowing.
The cold and snow is getting us lots of birds at the feeder though! We've added some goldfinches, cardinals, and a northern flicka(?!?!). Now, I started feeding the birds in 1978 and I have never seen a flicka at one of my feeders. Weird! Unfortunate the squirrels of doom have figured out where we are and have a strategy to get to one of the feeders. Though the droll yankee tube continues to frustrate them and to delight our little chickadees and titmice. I love it. I just wish I could be home more during the daylight to see them all come!
Wow. The snow is really coming down. They're saying 1-3 inches.
And its time to go home :-)
