Ok, I'm sort of a Pagan and sort of a Buddhist. And I try to give a lot of weird religious groups some slack.

But geez. Apparently theater owners are reporting that people in major cities are coming up and doing mass buys of Mission Impossible tickets with cash and not going to the film. It sounds crazy, but I know they were caught rigging sales of El-Ron's books when retailers started seeing shipments of "new" books coming back with retail store stickers on them--the COS had been running around buying up the books then shipping them back to drive up sales figures.

In the UK record companies were notorious for sending people out to the shops that calculated the 'chart returns' through their sales for the top 40 specifically to buy up copies of 'their' singles to boost its début chart position. I think it is one of the reasons why the compilation of the charts has changed over the years, though I bet record companies still try it.

Heh, I reserve the right to rip the Scientologists a new one as unfairly as I want, cause they had their nasty claws in my sister for a while.

Putzes

I heard that too. One person caught had cash and bought $700 worth of tickets. That's a lot of cash to carry on you.

This sounds like they don't want anyone to see the movie. I mean, if they are buying all the tickets and not going. Anyway, it's na okay film. Better than II, with several explosions. I LOVE explosions!
