Well, I got my PC back together. With how fussy EQ2 is about drivers, it's become an art anyway.

Vista was very pretty, but like Office 2007 very confusing. I think MS is making a huge mistake. The system requirements are ludicrous. According to Dell, there's not a single PC in the building that will run it. Actually, that's semi true. I can run it without the graphic enhancements.

Today I've been making regular progress at work on the new website. Working with Joomla is fun. If it does fry my brain just a wee bit.

While BBQing this weekend, I got to take a good long look at something... my body reflected in the sliding glass doors. I didn't like what I saw, so I'm on a diet, which I have been working up to for a bit. I'm hoping for a low calory non-carb thing. Last night was grilled chicken breasts and grilled veggies. I suspect that's going to be a lot of what I'm eating in the near future. I have two weeks until guests start arriving for July 4th and I'd like to lose a size by then and certainly that's possible as I usually can shock off 10+ pounds in the first week of diet/exercise.

I'm hungry. :)

I stopped dieting and made a couple life style changes. I eat more fruits and vegies, not near as much meat(a portion is actually about the size of a deck of cards and we Americans eat WAY more than that.)
And I work out not as much as I used to which needs to change, but I'm steadily dropping the weight. My size 14 skirt I was so thrilled about is now a little big on me. :)

I just slacked off so badly from exercise and dieting and I've gained an insane amount. Not to mention more calories than I should be getting from alcohol. I can pretty much stay even if I either eat right or exercise and lose weight if I do both.

Right now I just want that boost you get from starting out and dropping a lot.

I can understand needing that starting boost. For the long term though I reckon Akasa is onto the right idea. Cutting down portions of the most calorie rich foods and bulking up the portions on veg.

Problem is we all 'KNOW' that, it's the regularly putting it into practice that's a challenge :) Best of luck getting back on track.

Thanks! I'm hoping. I was doing ok for almost a year, then I got lazy after surgery and fell into bad habits.

I need to go on a diet too, or at least start exercising and eating better foods... I'm about 20~30 pounds overweight and my body is a general mess at the moment.

Good luck with your diet! :) *sends you moral support*

o_o;;

Is Vista that crazy? :O

I'm worried about my body. XD I've lost 30 lbs in the last two months. And I wasn't overweight. I was 175 (5'9") and I guess it was cuz I had a lot of muscle and now I'm 145 :\

I hope you can reach your goal though :D

Dun get too hungry. :(

Ah yes, Windows Vista.

Because despite endless security holes that are an inevitable flaw of the underlying foundation, rampantly excessive code and poor optimization, terrible swap, memory, and processor handling, and insistence on using proprietary technology, what we need is a 3D desktop that's nice and shiny.

Yeah, I love requiring a $200 video card in order to run the desktop. I know it's optional, but as a system administrator, the first time one of my (L)users sees it in its full glory it will be nothing but whining.

Except it's so confusing I have every intention of running out the clock. When Brewster adds its first Vista desktop, I hope to be a Canadian Social Worker.
