kathygnomeWell I haven't posted anything except reposts from my Eve blog for a while. Things are good. I took four day weekends for the Christmas and New Years holidays. It was pure bliss. And I have another one coming up this weekend for MLK day. It was just so nice to relax at home and not feel like I was rationing days. We did much great eating and drinking and all of that, but we didn't stay up to watch the drag queen drop in her shoe on New Years. Just too late with a Tiny One.
We got some snow last week, just enough to cover the ground and make things look pretty, but not enough to really be annoying. Today's blizard was mostly avoiding the cape. It turned to rain early in the morning. But about an hour ago it changed from rainy to white out, so who knows. It's supposed to turn back again to rain. I kind of hope so.
I've kind of drifted out of WoW. I got a couple of random dungeons and I just couldn't take the stupid anymore. I got into two instances in a row with idiots who wouldn't do any crowd control despite people constantly dying. Ended up quitting both groups (is it rage quitting if you're not really in a rage and are just disgusted and think watching tv would be more interesting?) and I honestly haven't logged in since. I'm having a good time back in Eve, even if I stay up late a little too often.
In more live gaming bits, I've ordered the Catan card game aka Catan Rivals and Castle Ravenloft board game for Janna and I to play. Hopefully get a bit more time together that's not in front of the tube or kneeling next to a baby.
The Tiny One is doing great. We need to do another round of shopping as she's completely out of the 3-6 range. Even her sleep sack needs to be updated! We're also starting to introduce solid foods. Just a little rice porridge. She seems to really be taking to it, at least as long as she's in the right mood. And I think she sleeps better or at least longer if she has some solid foods. Having mastered the skills of grasping toys, she's now mastering launching them across the room and occasionally at her two mommies at high rates of speed. Her other new big thing is looking out the window. We don't use the dining room much in the winter because it's cold, but she will sit in her bouncy chair and look out the sliding door for hours. She can also really get that bouncy chair going. I think I'm going to have a companion in 12 or so years to ride roller coasters.
And just to prove she really exists...
