Cooking by Remote Control

As those of you who know me are aware, I don't cook from recipes. I read recipes then cook what I remember, adjusting it as I go. And hoping for the best.
So yesterday just before our huge four hour cooking extravaganza--and yeah, we basically prepped and cooked one dish at a time and noshed for four straight hours all together--Janna mentioned she wanted to have minestrone soup. Well easy enough to make so I got the ingredients and soaked thebeans last night. And right now I'm cooking via gchat, telling Janna what to do in a thoroughly confusing and disjoined manner. It will all come out right though, it's pretty hard not to come out right when you put some tomatoes, beans, veggies, and a rind of parm in a pot and simmer it for 6 hours.
